Great Photo: 5th (Bombay) Mountain Battery

3.7

A Quick Firing (QF) 3.7 inch gun of the 5th (Bombay) Mountain Battery.

Photo taken in about 1933.

I assume this gun is the basis for the anti-aircraft gun used widely by the British Army during WW2.

Appeal for info: WW1 soldier in Northern Ireland

Anyone recognise any features of the uniform?

Hi all

This photo is in my family’s collection but we don’t know anything about it, other than the fact that it was taken in ‘Londonderry, Northern Ireland’ at around the time of the First World War.

Can anyone identify any information in it? Something about the uniform, the buttons?

Any help gratefully received!

Jon.
